Honoring Hillsborough’s rich history

In 1947, while Bill France was flying over the town of Hillsborough, he saw that there was a dirty horse-race track right next to the Eno River. He soon purchased this track and transformed it into the Occoneechee Speedway, changed to the Orange Speedway in 1954.
