Kahne on pole at Martinsville

Kasey Kahne became the first repeat pole-winner of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season at Martinsville. The Hendrick driver narrowly beat Richard Childress Racing's Kevin Harvick, Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin, Michael Waltrip Racing's Clint Bowyer and Stewart-Haas' Ryan Newman to the top spot. Harvick had come close to adding Cup pole to his first-place starting position for the supporting Truck Series race, before Kahne deposed him.
